Volunteer Opportunities

Puckety offers many opportunities to show Jesus' love to others.  We are involved in our community, but also in our nation and our world in various ways.  We are called by Christ in Scripture to use the gifts and talents He has blessed us with, to further His Kingdom!  As we are led by Holy Spirit, we are energized to do the work to which He has called us.

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

Here are some of the current Volunteer Opportunities available:


CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Teacher - Pray, and lead a children's worship class from curriculum provided.  Help children to understand what worship is, why it is important, and the ways in which we can worship God.
Teaching Aide - work with the teacher each week to provide support for the class.
Music Leader - help plan and lead worship songs for the kids to sing each week.  Help them to understand the importance of music in worship.


SMALL GROUP

Small Group Group Host/Hostess - open your home for group discussions and meetings to allow our small group ministry to grow and develop.
Small Group Leader - Lead a small group of people in a Bible Study or other small group material.  Help discussions to be productive, focused and keep the group on track.  Small groups allow us to enjoy fellowship and discipleship, and cultivate meaningful relationships between the members of the group.


AUDIO VISUAL  - This is the area we need the most help at present - please call 724-799-3323 to find out the many ways you can help.

Audio Technician - run the sound equipment to provide the audio portion of worship and other services held at the church.  Training is provided for this ministry.
Multi-Media Technician - run the computer that provides the graphics for lyrics and other video material during worship and other services.  Training is provided for this ministry.

Zoom/Streaming Host - starts up the online streaming meeting, monitors the audience for the worship service


FELLOWSHIP & CARE

Fellowship Meals - help provide meals for church events during special times of the year.
Meal Ministry - provide meals for those who have recently experienced an illness, birth of a child, death in the family, etc.
Event Coordinator - help to plan and provide fellowship events for the church.  These include, but are not limited to, picnics, bonfires, church outings to events like sports, theater, movies, etc.
Visitation - visit shut-ins, people in the hospital, nursing homes, etc. showing the love and compassion of Jesus to them.


GREETING

Parking Lot Greeters - be in the parking lot before services to provide directions, umbrella service, or answer questions for our guests and members.
Door Greeters - Meet people as soon as they come into the church, offering them a bulletin and answering any questions they may have.  Make sure everyone feels welcomed and a part of our fellowship.
Welcomers - survey the people in worship, specifically trying to identify visitors or others new to worship.  Take time to greet them and let them know you are glad they joined us.


CHURCH UPKEEP

Grass Cutter/Mower - help maintain the church grounds and cemetery by mowing and trimming the grass.
Landscaping - help maintain the church grounds by trimming shrubs, planting new plants, weeding and maintaining flower beds, and mulching where necessary.
Snow Removal - help with snow removal and applications of ice melter to provide safe walkways during the winter.
